Jeremy Johannsen
District Conservationist
Jeremy Johannsen has been with the District Conservationist at Boone County for 15 years. Jeremy started with USDA NRCS in 1997. He enjoys going to Iowa State Cyclone football and basketball games with his wife Angie and friends!
Sarah Hanson
Conservation Assistant
Sarah Hanson has been with us since late 2024. She is from Stanhope, original from Osage, Iowa. Her family has a cow-calf operation and farmland that they farm as well. Sarah has two boys, Mason and Emory. She enjoys watching her son, Mason, play baseball and football!
Spencer Giddings
Soil Conservationist
Spencer Giddings is the Soil Conservationist here at Boone County. He has been working with NRCS since July of 2023. Spencer came over to Boone County in April, 2024 from Green County. He graduted from Iowa State University in May, 2023 with a degree in BS Environmental Science, and a minor in Geology. He started his work in the field of conservation as an intern for the Delaware County SWCD during the summer of 2021, and as an NRCS Pathways intern during the summer of 2022.
Anna Hamlett
ISU Intern
Anna Hamlett is our ISU Intern, she has been with us for a year now. She is majoring in Environmental Science at Iowa State University. Anna will be graduating this spring! She plans to move to Indiana!
