Jeremy Gustafson
Chair
Jeremy Gustafson lives in Jackson Township Northeast of Boone. Jeremy farms with his wife Kelly and uses no-till and strip-till practices on their farm. They have also been using cover crops for over 15 years to improve their land. They are busy enjoying spending time with and going to events of their three children when not farming.

Steve Carlson
Vice Chair
Steve Carlson lives in Douglas Township outside of Madrid, IA, and has been a Boone SWCD commissioner since 2016. He is passionate about soil health, water quality, and maintaining Boone County's productive farmland and beautiful habitat. He is a staff member of Practical Farmers of Iowa, and runs a small apple orchard near Madrid.

Missy Bice
Co-Treasurer
Missy Bice lives northwest of Woodward in Peoples township with her husband, Rod. They have 4 children with 8 grandchildren, so far. On their farm, they raise corn and soybeans, as well as hogs, cow/calf, and fat cattle. They incorporate cover crops, waterways, windbreaks, terraces, buffer strips and minimum tillage practices in their operation. She enjoys serving as a commissioner on the Soil and Water Conservation District board.

Diana Wright
Secretary
Diana Wright lives west of Boone in Yell Township with her family and chickens. She is a retired physician with a background in conservation. As a fifth generation Iowan, she cares about the land and wants to work to make sure generations to come can farm and enjoy our natural resources.

Erin Doran
Commissioner
Erin Doran lives in Yell township in Ogden. She has been a SWCD Assistant Commissioner from 2024-2025. She was elected Commissioner as of 2025.

Rosie Wurpts
Co-Treasurer
Assistant Commissioner
Rosie Wurpts lives in Yell township in Ogden. She has been a SWCD commissioner since 2008. Rosie has moved to Assistant Commissioner as of 2025. She is interested in every area Soil Conservation deals with. Her and her husband farmed growing wheat, corn and beans in the Ogden area for over 20 years until his passing in 2008. She has been retired from City State Bank in Ogden for over 10 years.
